Chief Executive Officer
Roland is an entrepreneur with deep experience in global sales with SaaS, Business Intelligence and Consulting Service delivery. He has held senior positions in companies such as PTC, SAS Institute and MicroStrategy. He also is the co-founder of Actano, a global leader for software and consulting services within the enterprise project and process management industry as well as Monzoon Networks, one of the first European operators for Public Wireless Internet Access. Roland holds a undergraduate degree in Technology Management from Zurich University of Applied Science.
Christopher J. Blackwell
Chief Strategy Officer
Christopher is Chief Strategy Officer of Balluun. Before Balluun, he spent 2 years as PwC Switzerland’s Head of Digital, where he was responsible for advising companies across industries on their business strategy for a more digital era. Prior to his time at PwC, Christopher served 6 years as Chief Information Officer, member of Executive Management of PubliGroupe, a $1.3 billion leading provider of marketing and media sales services.
Prior to that, Christopher held a number of senior executive positions in business & technology, including VP Solution Delivery EMEA for Product Lifecycle Management at Oracle, and Founder & Chief Technology Officer of Vertical*i, a marketplace for technology transfer in the Life Sciences industry. He is also a Strategic Advisor to Memomi, the world’s first digital mirror for a one-of-its-kind interactive shopping experience. Christopher holds an Advanced Certificate for Senior Executives from the MIT Sloan School of Management from Boston as well as a Business Computer Science degree from Neuchatel Economics & Law University.
Chief Customer Officer
Deepak Gupta is an enterprise applications leader with broad experience in IT, SaaS and customer service management. Prior to joining Balluun, Deepak has held multiple senior management positions in IT and Applications Development at Oracle. In his most recent role as VP Customer Success, he built a global customer success function from the ground up to scale Oracle’s CRM Cloud Service from early adopters to large numbers of enterprise customers.
Deepak was one of the early employees at Siebel Systems, which pioneered CRM and after going public became one of the fastest growing enterprise applications company. After holding progressively senior positions in Customer Services, he headed IT Applications, where he was responsible for the implementation, operations and support of all business applications and processes used at Siebel.
Deepak holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Master’s in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford.
